Several hospitals across the country have recently suspended the use of gas and air, due to prolonged exposure posing potential health and safety concerns for midwives and hospital staff. Gas and air (known as Entonox) is a medical gas comprised of 50% oxygen and 50% nitrous oxide. The NHS maternity survey revealed that 76% of women used gas and air during labour, making this one of the most popular pain relief options. Read On

Our Clinical Negligence Team have passed their Legal Aid Agency annual review for 2023. The Legal Aid Agency's responsibilities include making sure legal aid services from solicitors, barristers and the not-for-profit sector are available to the general public. They are an executive agency, sponsored by the Ministry of Justice. Read On
BBC News have recently reported that Junior doctors in England could stage a three-day walkout in March 2023. The Government has been warned about the proposed industrial action, and The British Medical Association have said that a ballot for the proposed industrial action opened on Monday 9 January 2023 Read On
The BBC have recently reported that ambulances over the Christmas period were having to queue to get into A&E, with more than 40% of crews being forced to wait at least half an hour to hand over their patients. Thankfully, there is hope that the pressure should ease, with flu and Covid admissions beginning to fall. Read On
